In many low-income countries, health care financing is very fragmented. Moving toward Universal Health Coverage will be more a process of bringing order and efficiency to the health financing schemes that already exist than it will be of introducing yet another one. Congratulation to Claudia Bojanowski who nicely captured this reality.

I like this carton because it describes how fragmented is our health financing strategy and this shows a way to come up with a combination of efforts.

In my public health career of over 3 decades (1981-2015) witnessed promotion of health for all by 2000 (HFA 2K) followed by millennium development goals (MDGs 2000-2015) and now sustainable development goals (SDGs) for implementation from 2016 onward with UHC as one out of 17 SDGs. Wish lot of success to member countries of UN to attain UHC.
